Dirty Horchata with Café con Mezcal
Horchata is one of those refreshing drinks that is delicious every season. Again, here's my classic horchata with a coffee twist. Disfruta!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 8 cups water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 12 oz evaporated milk
- 12 oz condensed milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 45 g Café con Mezcal (ground)
- 345 g cold water
HOW TO MAKE THE HORCHATA
- Wash the rice
- Combine the rice, 4 cups water, and cinnamon sticks in a container
- Refrigerate 8 - 12 hours
- Blend your refrigerated mix in portions & strain
- Stir in both milks, vanilla, and the remaining water
HOW TO MAKE THE COLD BREW
- Coarsely grind 45g of Café con Mezcal coffee
- Stir coffee with 345g cold water and let rest for 12 hours
- Strain well
- Pour cold brew over ice
- Add horchata to your taste preference
