Dirty Horchata with Café con Mezcal

Horchata is one of those refreshing drinks that is delicious every season. Again, here's my classic horchata with a coffee twist. Disfruta!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 12 oz condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 45 g Café con Mezcal (ground)
  • 345 g cold water

HOW TO MAKE THE HORCHATA

  1. Wash the rice
  2. Combine the rice, 4 cups water, and cinnamon sticks in a container
  3. Refrigerate 8 - 12 hours
  4. Blend your refrigerated mix in portions & strain
  5. Stir in both milks, vanilla, and the remaining water

HOW TO MAKE THE COLD BREW

  1. Coarsely grind 45g of Café con Mezcal coffee
  2. Stir coffee with 345g cold water and let rest for 12 hours
  3. Strain well
HOW TO MAKE THE DIRTY HORCHATA
  1. Pour cold brew over ice
  2. Add horchata to your taste preference
